Our Story
AllRatesToday is a UK-based company building currency-data infrastructure for developers and finance teams. We started from a frustration every fintech developer knows: most free exchange rate APIs serve stale data, hide a retail markup, or won't say where their numbers come from. We built the service we wanted to use — real mid-market rates, honestly sourced, behind a clean REST API — and grew it into a platform that also serves the official rates published by 102 central banks for tax, audit, and compliance work.

Our Data, In One Paragraph
Live rates come from institutional interbank market data — true mid-market, the same tier used by major finance platforms, with no spread added by us. Official central-bank rates are ingested from each bank's own publication and served unmodified with the bank's publication date; anything we compute from a bank's table rather than quote from it is explicitly flagged derived.
