Compliant Exchange Rates for Invoices, VAT, Customs and Audit
The official exchange rate your regulation names, from 116 central banks and 3 tax authorities, delivered into Business Central, SAP, Xero, QuickBooks, Odoo or a spreadsheet, with the publication date on every figure. Built for finance, tax and compliance teams.
When a VAT return, a customs declaration, a set of statutory accounts or a transfer pricing file is checked, the question is never "what was the exchange rate". It is "which rate did you use, who published it, and can you show me". AllRatesToday answers that with the table each institution actually published, from 116 central banks and 3 tax authorities, carrying its publication date, delivered into the system your team already works in.
What you need the rate for
How it reaches your team
Your ERP or accounting system
Guides and support for Dynamics 365 Business Central (no code), SAP S/4HANA and ECC, Xero, QuickBooks Online and Odoo. The official rate replaces or overrides the built-in market feed.
Your spreadsheet
Dated official rates in Excel or Google Sheets by formula, with the publication date next to the figure, so a month-end workbook stays reproducible.
Your own systems
One REST endpoint your IT team or integrator calls for the rate on an invoice date, the month's table, or the full history, in JSON, CSV, XML or XLSX. Technical documentation is public.
Why finance teams switch from a market feed
| Market-rate feed (ERP default, converters) | AllRatesToday official rates | |
|---|---|---|
| Publisher | Unnamed blend of market sources | The central bank or tax authority the regulation names |
| Date | Time of the query | The institution's publication date, on every figure |
| Past dates | Often unavailable or approximated | Any date, with the rule the institution applies to weekends and holidays |
| Evidence | A number in a cell | Source, table, date and method, reproducible years later |
| Coverage | One feed for all purposes | VAT, customs, treasury and statutory tables from 119 institutions |
Sources your auditor will recognise
European Central Bank reference rates, the HMRC monthly exchange rates, the US Treasury reporting rates, the Swiss BAZG customs rates, the Federal Reserve H.10 table, RBI reference rates, PBoC central parity, Banxico FIX, and the published tables of a hundred more institutions. Every table links back to the official publication page in our data sources register, and the methodology explains how we collect, check and store it.
Frequently asked questions
Which exchange rate does the law require for a foreign-currency invoice?
It depends on the jurisdiction and the tax. In the EU, Article 91 of the VAT Directive lets you use the latest rate published by the European Central Bank or the national central bank on the date VAT becomes chargeable. The UK accepts HMRC's monthly published rates or the rate on the day. Switzerland publishes monthly rates through the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security. The common rule is that the publisher is named and the date matters, which is why a market rate from a currency converter is not sufficient evidence.
How is this different from the exchange rate feed in our ERP?
ERP feeds ship market rates, usually a blended mid-market figure with no named publisher. That is fine for management reporting and wrong wherever a regulation names the institution. AllRatesToday delivers the table the institution itself published, with its publication date, and the integration guides show how to override the built-in feed in Business Central, SAP, Xero, QuickBooks and Odoo.
Do we need a developer to use this?
No. The Business Central connector uses the built-in Currency Exchange Rate Service with no code. Spreadsheet users can pull dated rates into Excel or Google Sheets. Where an integration does need configuration, we walk your team or your ERP partner through it as part of onboarding.
What does it cost?
Self-serve plans are on the pricing page and include central-bank rates with history. Organisations that need integration support, annual invoicing, multi-entity use or reseller terms get a quote through the enquiry form based on the sources, volume and support they need.
Can we get an invoice and go through procurement?
Yes. Organisation agreements are invoiced annually with a purchase order if you need one, VAT-compliant, and we complete supplier onboarding forms. Ask through the enquiry form and mention procurement.
