Central Bank of Uzbekistan exchange rates: why most feeds stopped in October, and where the daily table still updates

Financial data on a screen

If your application converts Uzbek som and the rate has not moved since late October, the problem is probably not your code. On 22 October 2026 the website of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan (cbu.uz) stopped answering requests from outside the country. Connections from Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan, the major cloud providers and even the Internet Archive's crawler time out without a response. Inside Uzbekistan the site works as before.

An exchange rate service that collects the bank's published table from a server abroad has been receiving nothing since that day. A feed built that way froze on the 22 October table. One that reads a local republisher instead may have run a little longer, but the republishers we watch fell behind at the end of October too. Either way the figure you are being served may be days or weeks old, while the official rate has kept moving every working day.

How to tell whether your feed is affected

The bank dates every table. Look at the date attached to the UZS rate your provider returns, not the time you fetched it. If the most recent date is in October, the feed is stale. For reference, the bank published new tables on every working day of this week, including 3 and 4 November.

If your provider does not return a date with the rate, that is a problem in itself: a reference rate without its publication date cannot be reconciled with anything.

Two public examples, both checked on 4 November 2026 and both visible without an account:

Neither service is doing anything wrong. Both read the bank's website from abroad, and the bank's website stopped answering from abroad. Any collector outside Uzbekistan shows the same pattern unless it has changed how it reaches the bank.

What AllRatesToday is serving

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan page shows today's table: all 74 currencies the bank quotes against the som, with the bank's own date, published around 10:00 Tashkent time. History runs back to 2015. The feed did not stop on 22 October and it has today's table now.

Two things worth knowing about how we treat this bank's data:

How to get the data

What you needWhereKey
Today's full table, JSONGET https://allratestoday.com/api/open/central-bank/cbuNone

The keyless endpoint is free for commercial use. Public web pages or screens that display the rates need a visible link to allratestoday.com; back-end use, internal tools and private applications do not. The full rule is in the terms.

The same API covers the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, the National Bank of Tajikistan, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and the Bank of Russia, all with the same endpoint shape. The complete list is on the institutions page.
